After one day of elite figure skating action, the International Skating Union Grand Prix: Skate America moves into the second day today. This is a three-day event that began on Friday and will conclude on Sunday, getting the season started for the Grand Prix series on the ISU circuit. Every athlete competing is building a resume for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. The headliner for the United States is Ilia Malinin who looks to defend his title here before he turns 20 years old. Madison Chock and Evan Bates also look to win a fourth Ice Dance medal and second in a row this weekend. It will be a full day of action with the best figure skaters in various disciplines all looking to medal this weekend.

Today the day starts with the Ice Dance and Rhythm Dance, followed by the Pairs Free Skate, Women’s Short Program and then the Men’s Free Skate in the marquee slot this evening.
For the men, women and pairs yesterday, they competed in the Short Program and Free Skate, with Ice Dance events in Rhythm Dance and Free Dance also on the schedule. They will continue on today with events that will set up the final day of competition at the ISU Grand Prix: Skate America.
Malinin (United States) won the men’s event while Annika Hocke and Robert Kunkel (Germany) won the pairs event yesterday. The action continues today with the best in figure skating from all over the world all competing to medal, make an impact and put themselves in a position for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
